		<description>Hi Bill, Your post makes it clear how truly difficult it is to think about the future - I would suppose that for a large organization, it is necessary to consider things from each of these six perspectives. A daunting task! I&#039;ve always found it helpful to brainstorm with one or two other people where there is lots and lots of creative chemistry - people who feel completely comfortable sharing even the craziest ideas, people who can play off any &quot;what if&quot; scenario and come up with an even more exciting one. When the chemistry is good, an agenda may not even be necessary (yet always helpful). When chemistry is bad, no agenda or process gets me very far.

I like that you encourage a wide spectrum of thought, instead of focusing on &#039;one right way.&#039;  One exercise I have used is kind of negative, but it can expose some elephants in the room.  Asking, &quot;What are you most afraid of?&quot; often delivers answers that are focused on the present, but taken to their logical extreme can expose some of the business model and industry evolution changes you speak of.
